PSCA India Honored on International Women’s Day with ‘Empower Icon Award 2025
Noida, March 8, 2025 – The Noida Campus of Maharishi University of Information Technology (MUIT) celebrated International Women’s Day with over 80 women and youth in attendance. The event was graced by Dr. Tanzaire Vashishtha, Honorable Representative of The Peace and Sports Council of Afghanistan in India.
The ceremony, led by Professor O.P. Sharma (Director General) and Professor Bhanu Pratap Singh (Vice Chancellor), featured the traditional lamp lighting and a keynote address by Dr. Vashishtha, who paid tribute to women’s contributions to society. She emphasized the importance of gender equality and women’s empowerment, receiving a standing ovation for her impactful message.
Dr. Vashishtha announced a new initiative by The Peace and Sports Council to provide free academic assistance through specialized lectures at MUIT starting April 2025, under the leadership of Council President Mr. Ehssanullah Aghbar. The university lauded this initiative as a significant step toward educational empowerment.
A highlight of the event was the presentation of the ‘Empower Icon Award 2025’ to Dr. Vashishtha for her outstanding global contributions. She also honored over 100 women for their achievements. A particularly emotional moment saw a young woman travel from afar to meet Dr. Vashishtha, expressing deep reverence in a tearful exchange that symbolized the impact of her work.
This celebration reaffirmed the commitment to women’s empowerment through education, peace, and sports, inspiring future generations to drive meaningful change.
