The mixed martial arts competition, featuring athletes and security forces from the Czech Republic and supported by the Czech Republic’s Ministry of Defense, took place on May 6 this year to honor the ministry’s veterans and soldiers.

Eng. Fawad Nadri, representing the Afghanistan Peace and Sport Council in the Czech Republic, was a special guest at the event, invited by the Ministry of Defense. Mr. Yakub Synek and Mr. Petr Matous, champions in the sport and honorary members of the Afghanistan Peace and Sport Council, were also among the participants.

Following the competition, which included the awarding of medals to the top athletes, Eng. Fawad Nadri and Army Chief of Staff presented certificates of appreciation to the champions to honor and encourage their achievements. The event underscored the commitment to celebrating the service of veterans and soldiers while fostering international sportsmanship and cooperation.
