Peace and Sports Council Annual Forum 2019

We’re delighted to bring you a captivating insight into the illustrious Peace and Sports Council (PSC) Annual Meeting held in Monaco in December 2019. This event illuminated the profound impact of sports diplomacy on a global scale.

Representing the Peace and Sport Council of Afghanistan, the esteemed presence of Ehsannullah Aghbar, President of the PSC Council of Afghanistan, and Rameen Aghbar, Project Manager of the Peace and Sport Council of Afghanistan, left an indelible mark. Their presence underscored Afghanistan’s dedication to harnessing the unifying power of sports.

Collaboration took center stage during this meeting, as international colleagues came together to share insights, experiences, and strategies. The collective commitment to utilizing sports for positive change demonstrated the potential of sports diplomacy to transcend boundaries and promote understanding.

A standout moment was the unveiling of PSC’s latest project, “Unsurfaced Afghanistan.” This initiative not only showcased the resilience of Afghan athletes but also highlighted the transformative power of sports in challenging environments.

We were deeply honored by the presence of H.E Albert II, Prince of Monaco, who welcomed us graciously. His support for the Peace and Sports Council’s mission emphasized the universal importance of fostering peace through sports.
